Kids Can Explore Flight with Pima Air Museum Programs

Lew McGinnis, a real estate investor in Nichols Hills, Oklahoma has spent decades in the real estate investment industry while finding time to volunteer with numerous philanthropic organizations ranging from Catholic hospitals to prison ministries. Lew McGinnis has also served as the director of cultural institutions such as the Pima Air Museum.

With a history dating back to 1966, the Pima Air Museum grew from a small field with some airplanes and a trailer office to a modern museum with a gallery and several airplane hangars, including a third building which houses aircraft from World War II. In order to engage young people, the museum also offers a variety of fun family events.
Monthly Soarin' Saturdays consist of STEM programs where kids have the opportunity to learn about aviation and aerospace. Each 90-minute program comes free with admission and includes topics such as How Things Fly, Imagine Rockets, and Model Airplane Make N' Take.
