CJAMM Serves Prisoners through Redemption Churches

Lew McGinnis

An experienced real estate investor who launched his career in the field in 1965, Lew McGinnis manages a variety of multifamily properties across the nation. Having spent much of his time contributing to philanthropic organizations, Lew McGinnis serves as the finance chairman of Criminal Justice and Mercy Ministries (CJAMM).

A Christian organization dedicated to helping those imprisoned, CJAMM draws inspiration from the Gospel of Matthew: “I was in prison, and you visited me” (25:37). Following these words, the organization sends volunteers to reach out to prison inmates and offers additional services to family members of those in prison and for those released from prison.
CJAMM supports the spiritual lives of prisoners and their families through its Redemption Churches, which teach members how to live as disciples of Christ. Worship services take place on Sunday afternoons and Thursday evenings. Times may vary according to location.
Redemption Churches provide their members with classes such as Cage Your Rage and Anger Management, as well as meetings for Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. Further, they manage clothing closets to supply clothing for those recently released from prison, in addition to assisting former inmates in obtaining job interviews.
